The Jog-A-Thon (Oct. 1-3) is our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. There will be a lot of important information in the Jog-a-thon Packet they receive at the kickoff assembly in September. Students will earn a raffle ticket for exciting prizes for every $20 dollars raised. Sign-up on-line and up to 10% of the money you spend on groceries at places like Vons, as well as merchandise at many other participating vendors will go directly to our PTA.  Currently we have about 25% participation.  Our goal is 85% participation.

When you link your Albertsons Preferred Savings card with our Buena Vista ID then a percentage of the moeny you spend at Albertsons and Sav-On Drugs will go back to the school.  It is an easy way for us to earn FREE money!

We will be collecting empty inkjet and toner cartridges from printers, copiers, and fax machines.  Cartridges are redeemable for dollars that add up quickly. 

In addition to saving the cartridges used from home, parents are encouraged to collect them from co-workers, friends, and neighbors.  Cartridges can be dropped off in the office.  All cartridges must be free of damage and have the original manufacturers label intact.  Please place the cartridges in plastic bags to prevent possible leakage.  A list of the types of cartridges being accepted is available at www.ecyclegroup.com.

Every General Mills box top the school collects becomes cash for our school programs.  Look for the boxtop logo on products such as General Mills Cereal, Hamburger Helper, Ziploc Bags and many more.   There will be a prize for the classroom that brings in the most boxtops.  For more information check out www.boxtops4education.com.
